Well it’s that time of my life I hit a half century in a week & looking at doing a 10 week recomp cycle.

What’s people’s thoughts on getting the best bang for my buck while remembering I’m not lifting anywhere near as heavy as I used to & have put on a bit (lot) of fat after back surgery & having my meds changed up to help my mental health.

Best bang for buck? Recomp? Def tren. Being 50 stay safe health wise tho.

Metformin cheap as chips, no health consequences, essentially recomp in a pill due to partitioning food better.

Besides that to recomp you'd need specific parts of the day for specific goals. Then basing drugs and efforts around that.

First thing am you have the lowest bg, take gh inject carnitine caffeine and do liss fasted cardio, you're specifically burning more fats than glucose. Gh+caff are liberating more fat, carnitine transports it to the mitochondria at an accelerated rate and the cardio burns it off. It's the most efficient because you're fixing every bottle neck at one specific time to preferentially burn all(or at least the highest percentage possible) the calories from fat specifically.

Around your workouts do insulin and eat at a surplus of mainly carbs and proteins, you're specifically storing more glucose and aminos in the muscles.

Towards the end of the day lower the carbs again so you're in the ideal state for fatloss in the next am.

Besides that you need some test in there.
All in all I'd do somth like

~300mg test ew
~100mg mast ew
~100mg tren ew
1g metformin ed
5iu humalog pre/post

am(fasted)
2iu gh
~500mg inj carn
~200mg caffeine

Conservative doses bc you're a boomer 🐍🐍

Definitely not tren 😅 like most 45/50 year olds you probably have a lot of pent up simmering rage from all the shit you have been working through this life.. stick to mild compounds that are mild..recomps take time ..be patient results will happen 💪🏼😉
 
I’m over 50 and in a similar boat. So many people here want drugs to do the work. I was the same in my 20s and 30s. Now I realise it’s all about diet. Drugs are a tiny part of the equation.

I am the fittest and healthiest I’ve ever been. TRT to keep me at upper levels (30-32). I run four to five times a week to keep lean going into summer. Autumn and winter is calorie surplus - with a bit extra test and some primo or mast. Then September back into a deficit to have abs on display by December.

I always feel healthy and happy. Going to try some GH this year but have no interest in Tren or Deca (fear of deca dick).

5mg Cialis daily reportedly has health benefits beyond the bedroom.

But the best thing I’ve learned over the years is being lean makes you look bigger. My bench is much lower than many at my gym but they’re all fluffy. Being lean makes you healthier. Being lean makes sex better. Being lean makes clothes fit better.

At 50 growth hormone should be your best friend. If you take any one compound to support your training that is the number 1 for a male above 40 imo. Another compound I sell on here but not trying to flog it for that reason is Glutathione for oxidative stress control. At 45 we make 50% less within our bodies to support numerous functions which speeds up the ageing process.

Check your BP regularly and keep your AAS doses in line with BP and blood work (Cholesterol, U&E, LFT, Full blood count). As in push your doses as high as you can to the point you start to see a negative health impact and just before that point is your ceiling. This won’t be very high for most people.

Can’t understate regular stretching and cardio. Diet and sleep are obvious.

I 💯% Agree! My last cycle had test mast and only one week of NPP that made me a grumpy irritated prick and the missus says don't you ever use tha tren stuff lol 😂.
EQ and test was a good cycle but I had to take it for a long cycle before I noticed decent lean muscle growth.

Thanks for all the great advice guys. It’s much appreciated.

I’ve decided; after a lot of thought; to go with test & gh. I’m already on trt so I’m upping the dose slightly, still keeping it on the low side at 300mg/wk & using 2iu of gh on fasted cardio days & before bed on non cardio days. Diet will be high protein in a slight deficit & weights 4-5x week focusing on hypertrophy. I know it’s not a lot of gear to run & Im not adding in tren like a lot suggested as I’d probably end up with the Mrs filing for divorce after the 1st fee weeks lol.

I’ve never used gh before as it’s always been to pricey in the past for me to consider it long term, however with the quality of our sponsors & great prices it’s now a very viable option.

My other thought was if I run this for 6mths I’d add in a few 4wk mini blasts of var to help things along too.

I’ll adjust nutrition accordingly as I go along the 6mths. Then re-access things & go from there.

Haha surely they all jest when they say tren…or are they? If not, then stay away from it. Low dose of test, HGh and cardio will be your best platform to start with. Like you’ve said var would be good about 8 weeks in
